Career Details
Animator and Illustrator (Freelance)
June 2017 - Present
As a freelancer I direct projects for clients and personal projects for film festivals.
For each project I aim to express my artistic vision while combining it with the clients demands. I experiment with different techniques of animating.
I worked on music videos, animated commercials and branding.
Animator and Illustrator (Addmaya)
2016-2017
Addmaya is a film and design production house. I worked on various projects including television idents, billboard designs, illustrations, TV adverts and music videos.
I gained experience in the animation and advertising sector in Uganda, how to deal with clients and learning about the daily running of a creative studio.
I collaborated with artists, gained skills intime management, meeting deadlines and simultaneously working on different tasks. Apart from creative work my role was to help when needed. For example I worked on the set of a Vodafone advert shoot, working closely with the cameraman, handling the light rigsand sound equipment. I gained understanding in the process of creating a television commercialfrom post production to pre production.
I worked on projects which helped me home my skills in communication, organization, design and animation.
